5:30pm
ather than have me describe for you what we did yesterday evening, why don't you just watch this video instead? Picnic on 56.
11:59pm
Weeeeee. Tonight was fun. Cami and I threw a little shindig at our place where there was lots and lots of beer, and I had a little screening of the Picnic on 56 video that I mentioned earlier today. Let's see if I can get all who attended... there was me, Cami, Jeff, Clark, Abbey, Ben, Leanne, Scott, Andy (wintermute), Scott (ratvespa), Summer (vespagirl), Dave (mx510racer), and Melissa (tifosigirl)... I think that covers it. Anyway, we had a bunch of fun just sitting around hanging out and stuff.
In other news... Tuesday night, Nevada Gaming Comission agents forced Binion's Horseshoe (one of my favorite places in all of Vegas) to close down nearly half their slot machines, and 3 out of their 4 table game pits, due to insufficient casino bankroll. I really hope that this place doesn't go under, as it really is one of my favorite places in Las Vegas, but things have been going downhill there for quite some, the result of some rather boneheaded management. I really, really, really hope that they don't close down for good!
In other Vegas news, Cafe Trilussa, the little Italian restaurant on the second floor of Casino Royale is slated to be converted into an Outback Steakhouse. As a frequent patron of Casino Royale, I have mixed feelings about this. One one hand, I am sad. For those who don't know, the other dining options at Casino Royale are Denny's and Subway. Now, I love the Casino Royale Denny's, but I'm sad to say that if you wake up late (as is prone to happen in Las Vegas) and you try to get breakfast at Denny's at noon or 1pm, have fun waiting an hour or more to get a table! Or, you can be like me, and head upstairs to Cafe Trilussa, where not only will you be able to get a better tasting breakfast than at Denny's, you'll also get seated right away too! Yes, I will definitely miss breakfast at Cafe Trilussa.
On the other hand, the rest of their food isn't that great, and Outback Steakhouse would be a much better way to use the comp credit I build up there. Not for breakfast, but a nice fat steak and their fries smothered with cheese and bacon as an appetizer... mmmmmmmm I can feel my arteries clogging already! But I guess until after the changeover happens I won't really know which I prefer. But I guess I should prepare myself for long waits for breakfast.
Anyway... depending on how ambitious I feel, I just may try and come up with a minute to two minute long video every month, especially since I still don't have a new digital still camera to replace my old Nikon Coolpix 880 which was destroyed in August. We'll see though. Anyway. Nite all!
