This past week was the San Diego Classic WPBA event, which meant I got to see Jeanette again, who I hadn't seen since last May in Vegas. This time she had a camera crew from KBS (the Korean TV network) in tow. Apparently, they are doing an hour-long documentary on Jeanette, and apparently, an hour-long documentary is like, as long as documentaries get in Korea, so it's a big deal. I made some new friends in them, and now I'll have some folks to hang out with if I ever end up going to Korea again. And next time they're in San Diego, I'll be able to get them a hotel closer to where they want to be. Poor saps got a hotel room that was about 30 miles away from Viejas Casino which is where the pool tournament was being held, because they didn't really know any better. It was about a $50 cab ride each way! Yup, big changes going down. Cami and I are moving out of this place. Cami's been here since 1999. Maybe longer. I've been here since sometime in 2000, I think. The end of an era, I guess. They just wanted to raise the rent by too much, which sucks because they keep asking for more money, even though the quality of the place has gone downhill. As an example of how it's gone downhill, last fall they performed some "renovations" to this apartment complex, which included removing all of the wood trim from the buildings (which, despite looking very nice, cost the apartment complex money in upkeep), and painted everything in ugly colors. Yet, while they went around and painted everything to make them look "better", rather than repair the mailbox which was literally falling apart, they just covered it all with a new coat of paint... even in its state of disrepair... without actually fixing anything. Wow. So yeah, we're blowing this joint. I'm getting myself a new roommate, Matt, and Cami's gonna be staying with a friend for a while until the place she'll be moving into gets built. Weeee. So Jenny has given up her website. I don't know how I'm gonna find out about what's going on with her anymore, since she certainly hasn't stuck to her new years resolution of logging on to AIM more often. Though, I think that might have been a year ago's resolution, not this year's, haha. Monday, 29 March 2004
