his pic pretty much sums up the day I had on Saturday. The weather has been absolutely fantastic this week, so a couple of my friends (kind of an unofficial Mazda enthusiasts club, haha) decided to go for a little run through the hills of San Diego county. We tackled the mountain roads at quite a spirited clip -- we were going fast enough that we actually were slowed down by a guy on a sport bike that wouldn't let us pass, no joke!

Seriously, how sad are you if you're the guy on the bike, getting chased down by a front wheel drive, 4-cylinder station wagon? OK, so the Protege5 is being piloted by my friend Dave who aside from being an extremely talented driver, is also a pretty good photographer. And obviously the biker is not terribly skilled, as I was able to keep up while driving with just one hand while taking pictures with the other, haha. We just kinda wished he would have just moved over and let us by instead of fooling himself into thinking he's so fast there's no way a car could possible go faster than him! We also stopped near the top of Palomar Mountain for a quick little photo session :) It was a ton of fun, and after a full day of doing that, well let's just say I'm very happy with my car :)
