3:30pm
ast night was the season premiere of Veronica Mars... which was also the last episode I worked on. Unfortunately, I don't have particularly good screen captures of myself from this episode, mainly because they actually went through a good deal of trouble to not show the faces of the extras who play the kids who die in the bus crash, framing shots so that our heads would be out of the frame, or shooting us from behind and stuff like that.
They tried to comfort those extras who were concerned they'd never be able to come back to the show by telling us that they weren't showing our faces so we could come back, but I have a feeling that there was a higher purpose for doing this, one relating to the plot in future episodes, for example, creating new characters (that exist only in flashbacks now) that were supposedly on the bus even though they weren't really there, or something like that... because I really don't think they'd go through all that effort just so they could reuse the same handful of people again in later episodes... not when there's a seemingly limitless suply of people who want to work on the show. And anyways, they haven't called me back since shooting this episode, so I'm like, really dead.
There I am, waaaaay in the back. First day of school!
That's me standing in the back in the grey shirt. No really, I promise!
I'm outside staring at a plate of delicious looking Thai food
that I can smell but am not allowed to taste.
That's the back of my head half way out of the far right of the frame.
You can't see me but I'm actually riding on the bus in this shot.
Ahh, downtown San Diego, how I miss you.
That's my arm sticking up in the window of the bus. Really, it is!
And here's where the bus ends up. Rest in peace, my television alter ego.
At least you got to spend the last few moments of your life hanging out with Meg.
I thinkI did mention in a previous update that they did end up doing a still photo shoot of all of the extras that "died"... and those photos definitely DID show our faces. I'm hoping that in a future episode there'll be a memorial service of some kind with a bunch of hotties crying over the dead asian kid's photo. That would freakin' rule.
Oh yeah. Last night the San Diego Padres clinched the NL West with a .500 record. They can still finish out the season with a losing record, haha. Worst best team ever! I'm one step closer!!
