Ok, so it's been almost 2 months since I last updated this.
Not coincidentally, it's also been almost 2 months that I worked on In Memory Of My Feelings, the Frank O'Hara project.
Our run was from May 12-16, and it went well. A lot of people just didn't get it, or it was just too out-there for them.
On the other hand, we got a lot of great responses from people who thought it was very original, and innovative, and many people were inspired to read Frank O'Hara's works now that they have seen the show.
Most interesting was this old lady who saw the show and totally enjoyed it. The only reason why she came to see the show in the first place was because she knew Frank O'Hara. And as long as someone who actually knew him thought the show was great, well, as far as I'm concerned, I don't care if anyone else likes it or not.
One guy I know even went so far as to call it the best show he has ever seen at UCSD. Not to shabby for an undergrad production then.
And all credit is due to Matt Wilder, the director, watching his process was just amazing.
On another note: the time spent on school work this quarter has been minimal because I've been working on this show like mad every day. But now it's over. I can concentrate on school again.
I wrote an article for Sport Compact Car. They are going to use it. Great. Things are really working out for me now.
I made the provosts' honors list last quarter. I had over a 3.6 GPA if you can believe that.
Everything else seems to be going pretty good in my life. If I think of anything else, I'll add it later.
