Well well well, quite an exciting week it was, I saw a lot of famous people and there was a lot of action goin' down here in sunny San Diego this week!
The Denver Broncos stayed at the Hyatt Regency. That put them in quite close proximity to where I live... like uh... down the street!?!?
And the Packers? Well they were practicing at UCSD. Yes, that is the same UCSD that I attend!
For those of you who don't know, on Friday and Saturday, there was a HUGE party downtown, in the gaslamp district, called SuperFest.
Now, you may know some people who have been to some big parties, but believe me, there is no party bigger than this one.
How big was it? Well they closed down 5th Avenue all the way from Broadway to L street! Since a lot of you may not be from San Diego, to give you an idea of the size of this thing, Broadway is a block north of A street. So A to L street was closed down.
And there were TONS of people there, walking around, having fun, four stages with music.
Also on Friday night, me and Cami went down to the All-Star Cafe something or other, featuring Torn, Dogstar and Smashmouth.
Yes, that Dogstar, i.e. the band that Keanu Reeves is in. They weren't very good. Smashmouth, on the other hand, put on a great show!
Afterwards, we went walking down 5th like everyone else, just taking in the atmosphere. It was kind of like walking up and down Main Street at Disneyland, except the buildings were full size, it was more crowded, and the people were drunk.
That night, besides seeing Keanu and Smashmouth, I also saw Tom Arnold (i stood right behind him as he was getting interviewed by Entertainment Tonight and by Extra). I was so close to him i could smell his cigar smoke.
I also saw Michael Johnson (the runner), Lisa Lesley (is that how you spell it? the basketball player), Joe Montana (boy, can he throw real far!) and Daniel Baldwin.
There were some very interesting limos downtown that night. For example, I saw a Hummer limo. I also saw one that was like one of those 30's hot-rods, but stretched out.
Besides E.T. and Extra, I also saw media teams from Denver channel 7 and 9, Phoenix channel 15, E!, San Diego's 7/39, 8, 9, 10 and Tijuana 12, MTV Radio, NBC national, and more I'm sure that I can't remember right now.
Some time earlier this week, I saw the entire Broncos team on their busses coming back from the Chargers training facility, where they were practicing. Kinda cool.
Saturday I didn't go out so I didn't see anything.
Sunday. Well, I watched the big game at home with Kenny. Afterwards I went to work out with Bonny at RIMAC, and after that me and Kenny ate at Cami and Helen's place.
After that, I went over to the Hyatt, to see if I could hang out with some Broncos who were definitely partying hard. The security was very tight, but the fans held out. A few guys actually came out to talk to the crowds but most of them just jumped into their limos and disappeared.
I did see one person that was cool today... Today I met ROB SCHNEIDER!. He's short.
Well, I guess that is about it!
