Christmas... has passed. Happy new year!!!
Monday
Boy was monday a trip. The whole day was boring. Boring boring boring. Then Ken calls me up and asks me if I want to go shoot pool with Cindy and her cousin Andy. Anson was also there. Anyways so we went and shot pool when suddenly a bunch of police cars arrive and surround the place. Hmmm. They searched everyone outside and lined them up... guns out and everything.
Then more cops arrived. More cops with their guns out. Then they ordered everyone inside to come out to be searched as well. So we did, of course. One at a time. As each person walked out of the building they were faced with about six shotguns pointed toward their faces. Not a pretty sight.
If you've seen Beavis and Butthead Do America, it literally looked like the scene where all the cops surrounded Anderson's camper with all their guns out. Seroiusly. It was very ridiculous.
I guess that was pretty much the high point of my winter break.
Tuesday
Another fairly boring, uneventful day. But at night I went out with Margaret who I met on the internet. We went to dinner at Planet Hollywood and a movie (Beavis and Butthead Do America, my second time, her first... actually her first experience with Beavis and Butthead). And then we went to Denny's for a little post-movie desert or something like that. And then I took her home.
Wednesday
Tha first of tha year. Or something like that. Went to my grandmother's house to eat food (good food), see family (play with my little cousins... four very rowdy kids... i'm pooped), and get money. Or something.
Then I drove back down to San Diego. Where I am now. And I don't think it rained here.
Thursday
Welp, I didn't to too terribly much today. I went to UTC to play video games and watch people ice skate. After playing some games I walked over to Sports Chalet to buy some new bearings, wheels, and spacers for my rollerblades... when i realized... that the Rollerblade Tarmac CE's, the skates i've been looking at for the last year, have been marked down to $149 (that's down from $212)... just $30 or $40 more than what I was about to spend on wheels, bearings and spacers only... so for that much more i could get new skates... so I did.
And just as I had driven over to campus to try them out, the moment I got them on my feet, it stopped raining, so I couldn't really try them out. Well it wasn't really rain, but more of a drizzle. It was dry all day until that moment. I was so sad. :(
Hopefully tomorrow will not be as drizzly (is that a word?) so I can try them out.
After I came home and made dinner and ate it, I cleaned part of my bathroom. Boy was that exciting. But I have to. My dad is coming in less than a week now. Blah. There will be some more of that going on tomorrow. Also in my kitchen too this time, not just my bathroom.
That is about all that occurred today...
Friday
So as to not be bored today, I tried to do stuff. After I ate breakfast (I had one of Bryan's not-so-famous-but-oh-so-filling breakfast sandwiches), I pondered what to do. I remembered saying something about re-doing my home page, so I did.
If you didn't already notice, my main page is much simpler than the one I had before. No moving signs. No words. Ok, well a few words... no fancy graphics. I think the gimmick is that there is no gimmick. Or something like that. If only i had a good picture to place on the left side. Or maybe I should leave it. I'll have to think about that.
Anyways, that occupied about an hour of my time. Then I proceeded to add the information I collected to the pictures of the #Star regular chatters to my Unofficial Star 100.7 Chat Room Page in the regulars section. That was about another hour of my day.
No rain, no drizzle. So after a quick lunch, I went outside to play with my new rollerblades. They looked too new. That means I have to fall to scuff them up. Falling means trying new tricks (or re-learning old ones). I fell a lot today trying curb-stalls and wall-stalls with 180's (hey, not that hard but I only started to try to spin today), 180's and 360's in the air, tried to re-learn stair-bashing (lost my balls over the summer), as well as some figure skating things, which though I execute them successfully, I am sure they look butt-ugly. But I'm sure that will improve with time. Maybe I'll be able to fulfill my dream of figure skating around the Revelle Plaza... gracefully...
So i fell. My wrist has a bit of a scrape. That is because I couldn't find my wrist guards... anywhere...
I came home, took a shower, cleaned out my miserable wrist, and started dinner. I made something I made a lot during the summer, but for some reason it didn't go too well... as I was making my (not so) famous wine sauce for my chicken, the whole thing blew up in my face spraying a boiling mixture of wine, butter and oil and some other stuff all over the kitchen and on me. Leaving the floor very oily. Not a pretty sight. So I ended up scrubbing the kitchen floor too. WHile I was at it, I decided to hit the bathroom floor as well. Which of course occupied more time. Of course, I didn't start all this cleaning until after I ate.
Then I went to UTC to buy new wrist guards... and kneee pads, while I was at it. I never felt like I needed knee pads before until today. Spinning is entirely new to me so I'm falling a lot. That and I'm still not completely used to these new skates yet.
Then I came home again. Heidi left a message. She wants me to hook her up with a good price on a computer. I think I know what I'm getting her. For about $1300 she'll be getting a Cyrix 6x86 166+ processor (faster than intel 166mhz, but only 133mhz actually), and 2.5 gigs as well as everything else :) I hope her brother is happy.
Tam called me. She needed someone to pick her up from the airport on Sunday. I'll be there.
Well, at least I wasn't sitting on my butt all day...
Saturday
I have a sore throat. So I didn't do anything. I did buy the game Phantasmagoria II so that I would have something to do today. I don't think it was at all as good as the first one. But since I really didn't have much to do, I sat through it. I'm almost done... I think.
Thanks to Margaret who gave me the idea to put something from Star Wars on the front page... it spurred me on to the Yoda theme... I was wondering what I was going to put there, you know??
That's my day. I'm going to sleep now. Good night.
