A ha... i can update this more than one week in a row...
Thursday
I don't remember much from this week. SOme things I do remember though... I got new wheels and bearings for my first pair of inline skates. Now they run real smooth and quiet and stuff.
I went to work and to class on wednesday. Amazing.
I also went to work on monday.
I spent the night at Cami's on sunday night and wednesday night to make sure I would wake up. Good thing too, since this morning, I DIDN'T.
Annie, a friend of Wendy who is a friend of mine who is still in high school, needs a date or something for a dance tomorrow. Why am I always a last minute date? Why can't even high school chicks make me a first choice? Why am I always the leftovers?
And why am I always being told "I'm looking for a guy just like you... but not you..." or something like that? I've gotten that 4 or 5 times in the last year. It's kind of depressing. I think it's because girls don't really want nice guys. I mean, they SAY they want nice guys but when it comes down to it, nice guys are boring. Or something like that.
I saw The Empire Strikes Back tonight. It was good seeing it on the big screen, but, as with Star Wars I didn't like some of the changes. The one I didn't like the most though was when Luke jumped off the ledge after finding out that Darth Vader is his father... they made him SCREAM on the way down!! I hated that. It's like... he wasn't in control of himself or something, when in the original, since he didn't scream, he seemed like he knew exactly what he was doing. Ya know what I mean?
Something came to me as I was looking at my Disneyland Pictures Page... where have all my UCSD sweatshirts gone?? I can think of where one of them went (the one with the hood)... I gave it to Cindy... but I don't seem to be able to recall where the one in those pictures is...
Friday
Ok, so I like departed northbound on the 5 around 1:30pm, and I got to Disneyland around 2:30. And I hung out there because I wasn't supposed to meet for the dance thingy until 7:00 or something. SO let's see... what did I do there???
The first thing I did was ride on Star Tours because I hadn't ridden on it in a while. Then, as I was walking over to Space Mountain, I noticed Captain EO, and remembered that they are going to get rid of it soon, so I watched it for the first time in many many years. And I liked it.
Then I rode on Space Mountain, like I have done many times.
Then I walked over to my favorite part of Disneyland, New Orleans Square. Or whatever it's called. I can never remember the name of that place. Anyways, I went there mostly because I wanted to eat a Churro, but I ended up riding on the Haunted Mansion (tied for 1st in my favorite rides at D-land list with Pirates of the Carribean), but my Doom Buggy was broken... I couldn't hear the announcer dude's voice, which is ok because I already know exactly what he says.
After that I began to make my way out of the park. Somewhere on main street, a chick was selling those plastic roses that have the lightbulb in the middle so it glows. So I bought one thinking it would be a nice, original twist on a traditional (and overused) gift for my date.
Then I went. We met at Wendy's house.
Then we went to the place, which was at Knott's. And though many people's date's got them nice red roses, none had ones that lit up, so I felt very original and so did my date.
Afterwards we went to the knew T.G.I.Friday's in Cerritos, which sucks because everything in Cerritos sucks, and had some desert and talked and stuff. And then I came back home.
Just after I got off the freeway in La Jolla, my Fields of Gold: The Best of Sting CD ended, and my trip odometer read 90.0 miles, which means I covered 90 miles in 66 minutes and 44 seconds which comes out to an 81mph average, if I did my math right. Which sounds about right.
Anyways, now it's late and I'm tired so I'm going. Good night.
