Monday
So I haven't been good about keeping this up. But hey, I'm doing it now right?
So I went home for the weekend, you know for mother's day. Paul, a friend from high school (still in high school too) had some senior ditch day or something today so last night he came back with me and Ken down to sunny La Jolla.
We watched Back to the Future last night, since Ken procured the tape.
We just hung out, mostly. We ate breakfast at Denny's, watched parts of Back to the Future again, flew a kite, went to Tower Records, ate dinner at a Chinese Buffet in PB, not necessarily in that order. Oh yeah, we also rented Back to the Future II and watched that.
That's about it, I guess.
Friday
The Sun God Festival was today. It is the one day of the year that this dead campus of UCSD gets up and really parties. Everyone was walking around campus drunk, probably because most of them started drinking at like 10am. Music everywhere, games, and especially food hehe. Which of course, makes me happy. Lots of bands played today and tonight.
All the chicks were walking around wearing skanky clothes even to class, all the dudes had water bottles that I don't think were filled with water :). Heck, I'm convinced some of the professors were drunk too.
I came in late to the evening concert at RIMAC field. I came in just as Save Ferris, some supposedly up-and-coming ska act from OC started their set. They were OK, I guess. Then after that De La Soul came out, they were OK too. Hey, I didn't even pay any money to get in and neither did everyone else, so everyone was just having a good time... unless they were passed out on the grass.
But like I said, this is the one time of the year this place actually looks like a party school... or a school that even has parties. I think the dudes from De La Soul said it best when they said something like this:
"Hey, this is like the last big thing on campus for the year before finals and stuff, ain't it?""What are you talking about man? This is the ONLY stuff they get all year."
I couldn't help but laugh when I heard that. Anyway, now I think I'm getting sick, I got a sore throat and stuff and "it'll hurt if I swallow". Where's my mommy?
Welp, that's about it, I guess.
Saturday
I hate being sick. I hate being sick. And no, this is not a hangover. How do I know? I don't drink, and I certainly didn't drink yesterday. But I'm sick now and it sucks. I've done nothing all day except do a little bit of the work I brought home and just plain old feel like crap. I guess that's about it.
